Education Accreditation

　　IFCEN has obtained two international authoritative certifications: In February 2016, the French government's official journal announced that IFCEN had passed the certification of CTI, and the nuclear energy engineer certificates issued by IFCEN are recognized in France, with the initial certification valid for 6 years (the general initial certification period for CTI is 3 years). The French evaluation experts commented that the quality of students trained by IFCEN is comparable to that of the top engineering schools in France. In June of the same year, IFCEN also obtained the EUR-ACE Master certification from EUR-ACE.

After years of practice, IFCEN's teaching and talent cultivation model has shown characteristics of multidisciplinary integration and internationalization, with strong foresight. It has cultivated a large number of outstanding elite nuclear energy engineers with comprehensive skills, which have received extensive attention and favorable evaluation from society. In December 2016, the report "Comprehensive Cooperation between China and France in Cultivating High-end Technical and Management Talents in the Nuclear Energy Field" presented by Dean Wang Biao at the National Postgraduate Engineering Education Workshop won the first prize for papers. In June 2016, this achievement was awarded the title of Excellent Sino-French University Cooperation Project at the third meeting of the Sino-French High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism held in Paris, and was honored with a medal by Vice Premier Liu Yandong of the State Council. In March 2017, IFCEN's case of cultivating postgraduate students with Master's degrees in Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology Engineering won the first prize for the best case of the Major Project on Philosophy and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education. In November 2016, at the meeting of the Teaching Steering Committee for Nuclear Engineering Programs, the Nuclear Engineering Program Accreditation Committee, and the Joint Meeting of Deans/Department Heads of Nuclear Programs in Higher Education Institutions organized by the Ministry of Education, Director Kang Kejun highly praised the outstanding achievements of Sun Yat-sen University in nuclear energy talent cultivation and teaching models. The experts attending the meeting unanimously recognized IFCEN's educational philosophy, training program, curriculum system, and achievements in cultivating elite nuclear engineers, and evaluated IFCEN's talent cultivation model as a new exploration and attempt.
