Presentation of the organization:
IFCEN is an engineering school created jointly by China and France within Sun Yat-sen University . Its mission is to train, in six or seven years, Chinese trilingual engineers specialized in nuclear engineering, on the French pedagogical model of scientific preparatory classes and grandes écoles.
IFCEN hosted its first class of engineering students in September 2010. The master's degree is recognized in the European Union as a degree in engineering thanks to the accreditation of the Commission of engineering titles (la Commission des titres d’ingénieurs,CTI).
The institute is located on the campus of Zhuhai, a garden city on a pleasant scale, benefiting from a subtropical climate and an exceptional geographical location between sea and mountain, close to Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
Job description :
The teacher will:
-prepare and deliver an average of ten 45-minute math sessions per week (for 34 school weeks), in English or in Chinese, which may be spread across multiple grade levels (Different levels spread from grade 1 to 4).
-The yearly teaching load is 324teaching sessions.
-regularly evaluate students and design exam topics and answer keys;
- participate in discussions on syllabus revisions and in pedagogical meetings;
- provide oral examination time (if established);
- participate in other activities related to mathematics education.
Appointment requirements:
Teaching Oriented Professor: Have rich teaching experience, hold the position of teaching associate professor for at least 5 years, or achieve outstanding performance in teaching associate professor, quality course and textbook construction, teaching team building, and young teacher training.
Teaching Associate Professor: Have rich teaching experience, hold the position of lecturer for at least 2 years, or hold the position of lecturer and assistant professor for a total of at least 2 years, be able to effectively undertake the teaching of important basic or public courses, and complete the required teaching workload，with good achievements in educational reform and research.
Lecturer: Have a good educational background, love teaching, have good teaching potential, and be able to teach important basic or public courses.
Required skills:
The candidate's mathematical knowledge and skills must be generalist: the teaching will not be limited to a single field.
An open mind is fundamental and the candidate should be able to adapt his/her teaching methods to both the typical methods of the « preparatory classes for grandes écoles » and to the students of the Institute.
A good level of English is essential as teaching will be in English and communication with the administration of the institute and with colleagues is generally in English.
The candidate will be a team player with good interpersonal skills and will be able to work in a supportive team with his/her counterparts.

Required diplomas :
A doctoral degree.
The « agrégation externe de Mathématiques » is a big plus.
Type of contract:
5 years renewable，lectruer’s contract will end naturally if not upgrade to associate professor.
