Presentation of the organization

IFCEN is an engineering school created jointly by China and France within Sun Yat-sen University . Its mission is to train, in six or seven years, Chinese trilingual engineers specialized in nuclear engineering, on the French pedagogical model of scientific preparatory classes and grandes écoles.

IFCEN hosted its first class of engineering students in September 2010. The master's degree is recognized in the European Union as a degree in engineering thanks to the accreditation of the Commission of engineering titles (la Commission des titres d’ingénieurs,CTI).

The institute is located on the campus of Zhuhai, a garden city on a pleasant scale, benefiting from a subtropical climate and an exceptional geographical location between sea and mountain, close to Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Your missions:

• Ensure 324 teaching sessions per academic year (1 teaching session = 45 minutes) with classes of different levels (from A1 to B2, from first to fifth year);

• Design of teaching materials (courses, tests, exam topics);

• Participate in discussions on syllabus design and revisions;

• Participate in pedagogical meetings;

• Participate in the evaluation of students (monitoring and correcting exams);

• Participate in pedagogical reforms, events and other activities related to language teaching.

Appointment requirements

Teaching Oriented Professor: Have rich teaching experience, hold the position of teaching associate professor for at least 5 years, or achieve outstanding performance in teaching associate professor, quality course and textbook construction, teaching team building, and young teacher training.In principle, the age cannot exceed 50 years old.

Teaching Associate Professor: Have rich teaching experience, hold the position of lecturer for at least 2 years, or hold the position of lecturer and assistant professor for a total of at least 2 years, be able to effectively undertake the teaching of important basic or public courses, and complete the required teaching workload，with good achievements in educational reform andresearch.Inprinciple,theage cannot exceed 40 years old.

Lecturer: Have a good educational background, love teaching, have good teaching potential, and be able to teach important basic or public courses.

In principle, the age cannot exceed 35 years old.

Required skills:

• Excellent proficiency in French & English ;

•Hold a doctoral degree in relevant fields;

• Excellent knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR);

• Candidates holding examiner qualifications will be given priority;

• Candidates with overseas study experience and work experience in international cooperative education programs will be given priority;

• Serious, dynamic, open-minded, and flexible;

• Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, capacity to work in a supportive team with his/her French counterparts.

Type of contract

5 years renewable，lecturer’s contract will end naturally if not upgrade to associate professor.

Salary and benefits:

The salary and benefits consist of policy basic salary, performance pay, and other allowances and subsidies. The school pays social insurance and housing provident fund according to regulations.

Housing treatment：

Enjoy teacher's apartment on campus in accordance with school relevant regulations on the rental of public housing.

Education of children：

The children of teaching oriented teachers can enroll in primary, secondary, and kindergarten schools in the corresponding campus according to school regulations.
